Warranty
Your home includes a one year warranty to the builder from the date of final inspection.
Please see below for details on your home's electrical system warranty.
How do I request a warranty repair?
If after reviewing the FAQs, you feel that your electrical system needs servicing or repairs, contact your customer service representative for the company who built your home. They will evaluate your request and relay the info to us for all valid requests.
It is important for you to follow this procedure in order to have proper records of any repairs done to your home.
What doesn't my warranty cover?
The items below are not included in your electrical system warranty:
*Light bulbs/lamps
*Batteries
*Decorative Fixtures
*Appliances
*Resetting protection devices including circuit breakers and GFCI devices
*Settings customization, including vacancy sensor switches, humidity sensor switches, and motion sensor fixtures.
(See our FAQ and Products pages for information on how to perform your own custom settings for these devices)
What could void my warranty?
Below are examples of what can cause your warranty to be voided:
*Additions, alterations or damage made to the original electrical system by an unqualified person.
(Proper installation of fixtures, on existing junction boxes does NOT void your warranty)
*Installation of incompatible devices. (examples: A dimmer installed on a non-dimmable light. A replacement fixture that exceeds the weight limit of the junction box.)
*Please note* The weather resistant outlets on the exterior of your home are not rated to be used with commercial grade equipment such as those used by landscape and/or pool installers. We advise that you require any contractor doing work on your home, provide their own power, (such as a generator,) to avoid damaging your home's wiring and devices and voiding your warranty.
*If our service technician determines that a complaint, and subsequent warranty request, is a result of work performed, or damage done by others, a minimum charge of $250.00 will be due for the service call.
